Workshop with Actor David Starwalt

As an actor or model one of the ways to improve your skills is attending workshops to practice your craft! Shawnee Studios was proud to host a workshop for our talent, with Actor David Starwalt. He put those in attendance to work on improvisation of dramatic scenarios. He gave each person a basic scene and character description and from there it was all up to the actor to create! The main thing is to go with the flow and be willing to let go of ‘you’ to become this new person. We don’t pretend to be someone else, we become that person in those moments. It takes practice, patience, and a willingness to experiment. Those big Hollywood stars you see all started by doing these types of exercises.
